Sematell GmbH takes your privacy very seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions. Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the General Data Protection Regulation).

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter "data subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Processing (Art. 4 No. 2 DS-GVO)

Processing means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data, whether or not by automatic means, such as collection, recording, organization, filing, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

Person responsible (Art. 4 No. 7 DS-GVO)

The controller or controller is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. Where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for its designation may be provided for under Union or Member State law.

5. Collection of data

When you visit our Internet pages, personal data is also processed.

I. Collection of personal data

In order for the pages to be displayed in your browser, the IP address of the terminal device you are using must be processed. In addition, there is further information about the browser of your end device.

We are required by data protection law to also ensure the confidentiality and integrity of personal data processed with our IT systems. The following data is logged in this way:

The server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to be able to clarify cases of abuse. If data must be retained for evidentiary reasons, it is exempt from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified.

II. Handling of contact data

If you contact Sematell GmbH using the contact options provided, your details will be stored so that they can be used to process and respond to your inquiry. The information is voluntary and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent. Insofar as you voluntarily provide data to us, e.g. in forms, and this data is not required for the fulfillment of our contractual obligations, we process this data on the basis that we assume that the processing and use of this data is in your interest. Inquiries received via the contact form on our website are usually stored in our CRM system. The CRM system is regularly checked to determine whether data can be deleted. If data is no longer required in the context of a customer or interested party relationship or if a conflicting interest of the customer prevails, we will delete the data concerned, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our "interest" as defined by Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) is the communication with customers and interested parties.

III. Cookies

Cookies are used on our Internet pages. Cookies are small pieces of text information that are stored in your terminal device via your browser. The cookies are necessary to enable certain functions of our Internet pages. On the one hand, we use session cookies, which are automatically deleted by your browser immediately after you have finished visiting the website. We process the aforementioned data for the operation of our website and to fulfill contractual obligations to our customers.

7. Recipient / passing on of data

21st Linkedin Insight Day

Our website uses the conversion tool "LinkedIn Insight Tag" from LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. This tool creates a cookie in your web browser, which enables the collection of the following data, among others: IP address, device and browser properties, and page events (e.g. page views).

This data is encrypted, anonymized within seven days, and the anonymized data is deleted within 90 days.

LinkedIn does not share any personal data with Sematell, but offers anonymized reports on the website target group and display performance. In addition, LinkedIn offers the possibility of retargeting via the Insight Tag.

Sematell can use this data to display targeted advertising outside its website without identifying you as a website visitor and to analyze visits to our website and campaign results in order to provide you with interesting information. Notes on data processing in connection with Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the data controller on this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, then the Google Analytics data processing is carried out by Google LLC.
